Making plans for Independence Day Weekend? The Crystal Coast is a great place to be for the Fourth of July, offering free food, parades, live music, and fireworks shows around every corner – many of which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own boat. What Independence Day activities will you be attending?
Here’s what’s going on across Carteret County:
The Beaufort 4th of July Parade will begin at 11am on Saturday, July 4th. Meet in Historic Downtown Beaufort for the entertainment, then head to the front of the courthouse for free ice cream and music.
Atlantic Beach will hold an Independence Day Celebration on July 4th at the Circle. Visitors and residents can look forward to a live band, Sammy O’Banion and the Nightshift Bank, from 7-11pm.
Emerald Isle will be having their Fireworks Show over Bogue Sound at Chapel by the Sea. The display starts at 9pm and can be viewed at the Chapel. If you’d rather relax on the boat to watch the show, you’ll be able to see the fireworks from Bogue Sound and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, just a short boat trip out from Homer Smith’s Docks and Marina. Ask an attendant at Homer Smith’s for the directions to the best view of the Emerald Isle fireworks, then sit back and enjoy the show!
Homer Smith’s Docks and Marina serves boaters in Carteret County, Beaufort, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores and the entire Crystal Coast. Contact us today to learn more about our leasing options.
